U.S. Department of Energy Office of Heavy Vehicle Technologies (OHVT) is focused on developing emission control technologies and encouraging the production of cleaner fuels that continue improving the diesel engine's performance, efficiency, and ability to use nonpetroleum fuels obtained from nonpetroleum feedstock.
The goal is to reduce our nation's dependence on imported petroleum and improve the emissions performance of heavy vehicles.
